How to Prolong the Service Life of the Eddy Current Sorter?

Generally, the service life of eddy current sorter is more than 8 years. The earliest clients have used it for about 10 years. From the first generation of small-diameter magnetic roller to the present 325 large-diameter magnetic roller, the control cabinet has also been upgraded from the old relay mode to the PLC intelligent control mode.

At present, the service life of the latest generation of eddy current sorter is more than 10 years. But the magnetic roller that determines the performance of eddy current sorter is composed of rare earth high intensity magnetic Ru-Fe-B, and the demagnetization rate of Ru-Fe-B is less than 5% in 8 years, because the sorting capacity of eddy current sorter will be attenuated from the eighth year. But the separation effect has little influence. Thus, we have made the following arrangement according to the service life of eddy current sorter.

Ⅰ. The composition of the eddy current sorter

Eddy current sorter is mainly composed of motor, magnetic roller, frame, heat dissipation system, material distribution system. If all parts are regularly maintained and not damaged, it can be used for more than 10 years.

Ⅱ. The way to extend the service life of the eddy current sorter

1. If there is any foreign body on the surface of the sorting magnetic roller, it should be replaced in time. When the cylinder peel and belt are damaged, they should be replaced in time so as to prevent the sorting magnetic roller from being used under the condition of overheating or serious wear. If the temperature exceeds 200 degrees, the magnetic block will be demagnetized. But as long as the magnetic field of the magnetic roller is not attenuated, the sorting rate of the eddy current sorter will not be affected.

2. The driving motor, vibrating motor, decelerating motor and other parts of eddy current sorter should be cleaned in time, and the use environment should be kept dry without solar exposure. If the dust run into the cooling fan or hood, they should be cleaned in time.

3. The cooling system and lubrication system need regular maintenance. Usually, the high-speed bearings at both ends of the magnetic roller need to be greased every 5-7 days. Make sure that there is enough oil left in the cooling oil tank.

4. The control system of eddy current equipment for sale needs to be kept dry and clean, so as to prevent the circuit from being over-charged due to dust, iron powder and humid environment, and other parts from being burned.

5. The interior of the machine should be kept clean. If there is any foreign body, it should be cleaned in time. If the equipment is used in a harsh environment, it is necessary to clean the equipment regularly during commuting time.

Usually, the service life of eddy current testing machine can be greatly prolonged if it is used according to the above steps.
